IBPS Clerk 2016- The Institute of Banking Personnel is the official conducting body of the IBPS Clerk 2016 Common Written examination where candidates will be recruited for various clerical positions available in the participating banks and financial institutions. This exam is divided into Prelims and Mains exam. The candidates need to clear the Preliminary exam in order to qualify to take the Mains exam. The online registration is likely to be commenced in August 2016.
The IBPS Clerk preliminary exam will consist of Multiple Choice Type Questions which will be based on Reasoning, English Language and Quantitative Aptitude. The result for the Prelims will be published on the official website. The Mains paper covers all the three subjects mentioned before including two more which are General Awareness and Computer Knowledge. This paper is more likely to be subjective than objective and the IBPS is yet to publish the syllabus for this paper.
IBPS Clerk 2016 Prelims Pattern
- Reasoning Ability Paper – 35 questions
- Quantitative Aptitude Paper – 35 questions
- English Language Paper – 30 questions
This paper consists of a total of 100 questions each carry 1 mark. The Prelims paper has an allotted time of 1 hour within which the candidates need to answer all the given questions which will be in the format of M.C.Q.
IBPS Clerk 2016 Mains Examination Pattern
- Reasoning – 50 questions
- General Awareness – 40 questions
- Quantitative Aptitude – 50 questions
- English Language – 40 questions
- Computer Knowledge – 20 questions
All in all the Mains paper consists of 200 questions covering five different subjects each carry 1 mark. The time duration given to the candidates for the Mains paper is 2 hours within which the candidates need to finish answering all the questions.
